In the next few newsletters, I will be authoring articles entitled "Uncompromised Safety" to tell you about CharterAuction's commitment to safety, as well as relevant private air travel safety issues. In this issue, I'll address how a company culture affects safety.
The company culture of the aircraft operator flying the mission tends to be at the heart of air travel safety. Unfortunately, the standards for safety and quality are as varied as the aircraft available for hire in the U.S. Some operators push the limits of pilot duty times, accept pilots who do not meet minimum ARG/US* experience in the aircraft type they are flying, or sanction pilots to fly under questionable circumstances. Many compromise safety for time, financial or customer pressure to travel as scheduled. We utilize ARG/US* to filter out operators who make these questionable decisions.
CharterAuction only works with the premier aircraft operators. Our extensive pre-approval program is unique. In fact less than 10% of aircraft operators in the industry meet our safety standards. Each aircraft operator has the distinction of a Gold or Platinum ARG/US rating, and prior to every trip we run an ARG/US Trip CHEQ to verify pilot experience.
A professional pilot's main concern is the safety of their passengers and crew. At CharterAuction we take the term Operational Control seriously. If a pilot determines it is unsafe to fly, we will stand behind their decision. Of course we will work diligently to locate a backup alternative to minimize any impact to your schedule, but not at the risk of safety.
My commitment to you is that I will not compromise your safety for convenience. This commitment is the cornerstone of every employee at CharterAuction. We hope it will raise the bar industry-wide for this essential issue.
